Food Trial Leak-Proof Check
What could be slipping into your dog’s food trial?
Spot possible gaps in your household routine before your next vet conversation.
Ten short questions · Results without email · Choose “Not sure” whenever you need to

For a food trial your vet directs. This check does not diagnose allergies or confirm that a trial is free of exposure. Do not change prescribed medicines or supplements without your vet.
Know what to bring up with your vet
A dog elimination diet trial depends on the food and instructions your vet selects. This check helps you notice possible household gaps and questions to ask. It cannot tell you whether your dog has a food allergy.
Do medicines, treats and supplements count?
They can introduce ingredients outside the trial diet. Ask your vet to review flavored medicines, preventives, chews, toothpaste, pill wraps and supplements. Do not stop or change prescribed products yourself.
What if my dog ate something by accident?
Contact your clinic with what you know. Your vet decides whether the accident changes the plan or timeline. This quiz cannot decide whether you need to restart. If your dog may have eaten something toxic or is unwell, seek veterinary help promptly instead of waiting to finish a quiz.
What if I do not know an ingredient or answer?
Choose “Not sure.” Keep the product label available and ask your vet. An uncertain answer becomes an item to review, not a diagnosis or a failed trial.
Does a result with no flagged items mean the trial is safe?
No. It only means your answers did not identify an item in this short check. The questions cannot cover every exposure, and the result does not assess your dog’s health or the diet’s suitability.
Can other pets or people affect the trial?
Their presence alone is not a problem. Possible access to food outside your vet’s plan is what matters, including other bowls, dropped food and food found on walks.
How long should the trial last?
Follow the timeline your vet gives you. Do not shorten, extend or restart a trial based on this result.
